Taberna Gitana - the first ever Tablao (as we would recognise it today) to open its doors in Madrid. Later renamed Torres Bermejas (after part of the fortifications of the Alhambra in Granada) its stunning interior is designed to replicate the arabic style of the Alhambra itself.
Most famous for being the Tablao in which Camarón performed for 12 years, during which time he met Paco de Lucia - the guitarist with whom he would create some of the most important and revolutionary Flamenco music in history. Today, the stage is shared by talented young Flamenco artists who are rotated on a regular basis to keep the show fresh and engaging and also helps create the perfect atmosphere for the improvisation for which Flamenco is so famous.
